Angelique Hardy joined Shipley & Horne, P.A. in September, 2012 as a Legal Assistant, and she currently manages the busy schedules of two of the firm’s partners, Dennis Whitley III and Robert J. Antonetti, Jr., and an associate attorney, L. Paul Jackson, II. Being able to balance competing priorities serves Ms. Hardy well as she also manages case files, judiciary and client interaction, preparation of legal documents and assists with a broad range of activities which provide for a smooth and productive work environment. Ms. Hardy thrives in the fast-paced legal environment at Shipley & Horne, P.A., where there is always something that needs her attention. She finds that the development of new skills and expanded knowledge she acquires while supporting firm objectives are instrumental in meeting her career objectives.
Ms. Hardy has worked in the legal field since 1999, previously working with solo practitioners and small law firms in Southern Maryland and Northern California. Ms. Hardy’s years of experience has exposed her to a varied scope of legal practices with a concentration on civil and administrative litigation, appellate matters, and land planning and zoning. While advancing her career over the past two decades, Angelique also graduated from University of Maryland University College with honors in May, 2010 receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree. Her educational background provides Ms. Hardy with essential tools allowing her to provide her attorneys and their clients with unparalleled expertise and knowledge.
Outside of the office environment, Angelique is an avid reader and a passionate supporter of her local Great Dane rescue organization. She believes that while books expand the mind, dogs expand the heart.
Patricia Lewis, Legal Assistant, has been with Shipley & Horne, P.A. since 2004. Utilizing her strong organizational and interpersonal skills, Ms. Lewis is instrumental in keeping the operations of the office running smoothly and efficiently. As legal assistant, she is responsible for processing audits, accounts payable and receivables, IOLTA account, billing and collections, and the ordering of all supplies for the firm. A people-person, Ms. Lewis enjoys interacting with her colleagues every day.
Prior to joining Shipley & Horne, P.A., Ms. Lewis worked for Prince George’s County government as the Administrative Aide to the Associate Deputy Director at the Department of Housing and Community Development and assisted him in all phases of the daily operations of the department.
In her spare time, Ms. Lewis can be found playing with her granddaughter and curling up with a good book.
Since the firm’s inception in 1995, Mr. Moran has served as the firm’s administrator and has supported the partners in providing advice in all of the financial and business aspects of the firm, including the firm’s accounting, budgets, marketing strategies, technology and other related matters.
An integral member of the Shipley & Horne, P.A. team since the firm’s founding in 1995, Marilyn Taylor serves as the firm’s office manager. In this role, she provides administrative support to the Senior and Managing partners. She is also in charge of all billing matters, in addition to providing overall management and leadership to the firm’s staff. As office manager, Ms. Taylor has the opportunity to interact with all of the firm’s team members and she enjoys making a difference and creating a positive office culture.
Prior to joining Shipley & Horne, P.A. in 1995, Ms. Taylor worked at the firm of Meyers, Billingsley, Shipley, Rodbell & Rosenbaum, P.A.
When not hard at work, Ms. Taylor is an avid reader and enjoys mentoring youth and spending time with her family.
